Statue Installed - 1667-1668
It was part of a group of 16 that were built between July and December 1668.

Sculptor - Lazzaro Morelli
Although the attribution is hypothetical, the statue shares characteristics with St Anthony of Padua (126) made by Morelli.

Height - 3.1 m. (10ft 4in) travertine

Bernard of Clairvaux was an outstandingly successful propagator of a Benedictine reform movement which became the Cistercian order. In 1830, Pope Pius VIII named him a Doctor of the Church.
